Greetings, you might remember me for an earlier post discussing how Brick-hill is declining rapidly. The post can be located here: https://www.brick-hill.com/forum/thread/2034398/
I feel I should specify I am not always active but do tend to know about various things happening over here. Since the beginning of 2021, users who had been banned during the previous years (https://www.brick-hill.com/forum/thread/1008623/) have either returned to foruming or are using alternative accounts to spread hateful messages.
Due to all of the recent events regarding the staff, moderation of the site has been significantly low; this is evident with how many users are posting inappropriate images & posts. If the need for moderation is not eradicated, these forums will fall victim to anarchy. Since the majority of active forumers have been banned for minor infractions of the Rules of Conduct (https://www.brick-hill.com/rules), hateful posts are now being seen more evident as forum posts from active forumers and no longer there to push these down.
If Brick-Hill does not return to becoming the great site it was once, I fear we will not survive the influx of active 2023 users. There is no possible way for such a little staff team to moderate over 1,000,000 users. Without more staff, Brick-Hill's demise is certain.
The only way this site would be able to survive 2023 and further would be completely removing the forums in order to focus on client development. The current staff have no possible way to cater for 1,000,000 active users, 2023 will most likely bring in 400,000-500,000 users which the staff would have no way of caring for.
Removal of forums, temporary or permanently will only be beneficial to the staff and active users, people will be more willing to actually play the game and develop friendships with other players. Post count will no longer matter as it has divided the users more than join dates.
Please remove the forums!
